There are 2 types of people in this world. Those who worship #BasedGod and those who aren't f#cking retarded. I never really gave Lil B the time of day to actually really listen to his music. With it being a Thursday and I'm extremely bored I figured I might as well listen to his album I'm Gay (I'm Happy). Although I didn't change my faith to based after listening to it, I didn't completely write it off as a crap album. Actually only the opening song is really the only song worth listenin... Finally another 3k verse!. We've seen him hop on a Kesha song, then a Beyonce song, & now he is featured on this Lloyd track. Hopefully this means he is getting closer to being on a rap song. This track was released a few months ago, but this is the mastered version that will appear on Lloyd's upcoming album King of Hearts. Lil Wayne does the narrating. Besides the pussy references this is a pretty dope track, though I don't see Lloyd's album moving many units.

Patrick Stump (the lead singer for Fall Out Boy) recruits Lupe Fiasco for the first single of his solo album. Now to most, this is completely random . But, for the true Lupe fans you would know that 'Little Weapon' from The Cool album was in fact produced by Mr. Stump. This is probably how these two first came in contact with each other. Not a great contributed verse from Lupe, but he held his own. An interesting combination of tunes but is pretty catchy.

Apologize for RapRadars shitty player, will update with the youtube one once it gets released. Oh and as you can tell DJ Khaled doesn't receive credit unless he contributes, which he doesn't.

Another Lamar sighting. 'Hol' Up' is the next track that will appear on an upcoming mixtape, #Section80, which Lamar announced will be dropping on July 2nd. Behind J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar is an artist that I'm anxiously waiting for his debut studio album. Even though that album won't be released until 2012. 'Hol' Up' is produced by Sounwave who provides a hypnotizing horn & drum beat. With the cuts that we've been hearing lately, #Section80 looks to be a very quality mixtape release.

K. Sparks releases the first track that will appear on his upcoming album presented by DJBooth.net. I feel like the production was overdone a bit, but Sparks blew it out of the water. Sparks takes us back in time with this old school flow. If you read my review of Tomorrow Today you would know I view K. Sparks as a slept on artist with above-average mic skills. I'm still waiting for that record that will spark his career. (Get it?) K. Sparks & Jeff Chery are very alike to me. Both will ge... Continue reading ...

I never really got into posting R&B, so I figured this would be a good place to start. 'Typewriter' was actually recorded in 1997, but was never released. That is until now. On June 28th, the 10th anniversary on her album Songs in the Mirror is being re-released. This track will appear on it. It's weird knowing that this song was made back in '97 and is now just seeing the daylight. It's nothing spectacular but makes me reminisce when 'Fallin' could be heard anywhere.

See, didn't I tell you? It's Drizzy Season. Another week another Drake joint. This track might have been the demo for 'I'm On One'. I really hope the next release is more rapping less emotional issues that we already know Drake has. Same topic different beat Drake. I really don't mind the singing, just please keep it for the hooks and drop some bars soon? Produced by Noah '40' Sebib & Adrian X.
Remember the sophomore album drops October 21st. Drake is sure getting these bitches riled... Continue reading ...

Looks like reaching a milestone in twitter followers is something to celebrate nowadays. After reaching 500k, Mac Miller releases a new track featuring the Brooklyn prince. I've got mad respect for Miller. He's managing to sell on iTunes without the help of a major label and little promotions. The kid is maturing also. I used to view him as just another weed rapper, but it's tracks like this that gives me hopes. No word on where this will end up, presumably an upcoming mixtape. 'Family Fi... Continue reading ...

XV is celebrating reaching 30,000 views on twitter. This song is a little weird for me, but he can spit alongside the best of him. The chorus is pretty bad on this, but it's still a good song, especially the lyrical side. XV has the ability to relate with not only rap nerds but also video game nerds and the average college student. But seriously, he needs to be working on that album. C'mon Warner Bros. get your shit together, like J. Cole we have to wait years for a debut album

Another day, another Cole leak. Let's see how this one plays out. Cheer Up is an unconfirmed track on his upcoming album. According to various blogs it will be. I'm digging this one almost as much as 'Lost Ones' and definitely more than the single 'Work Out'. Are the songs that we are hearing pumping you up for the album?

I'm voting this song has the best opening ever. We heard these two were in the studio and this is the end result. 'Ronald Reagan Era' will appear on Lamar's #Section 80. Lamar is giving Cole a run for his money for best new artist. Go back in time and visit the 80's with 'Ronald Reagan Era'.

Hold up one goddamn minute! Is that 50 Cent rocking Jerry Curls? I don't know what goes on in his mind, either he is a genius or a wack job. A couple months ago we had 50 sending out youtube 'Freestyles' everyday for like 2 weeks straight, sending shots at Shyne, and promoting Sleek heaphones. Then he just disappeared for a while. Well it looks like he's back with the first single off his upcoming LP 'Outlaw'.
Now I've seen a lot of hate on this song already and it hasn't even been ou... Continue reading ...

Game brings out the big guns on 'Bottles and Rockin J's'. Over a Lex Lugar beat, which yes sounds like all the other beats he produced. Now let's find out the disturbing part about this song. Why is DJ Khaled on this song. I can't figure it out. He even has his name featured on other blogs. I'm assuming this is the RED album's next single. I will never understand why artists still record for this guy. He does absolutely nothing. 'I'm On One' should be Drake's song and he shouldn't even b... Continue reading ...

The other day we were treated to 'Lost Ones' a track that is going to appear on J. Cole's debut album. Now we finally get J. Cole's debut single 'Work Out'. Well it's finally here. How do we feel about this track as the single? Sampling Kanye West's 'The New Workout Plan' & Paula Abdul's 'Straight Up'. For me 'Lost Ones' blows this track out the water, but this has the potential to be on the radio. I'm digging the samples though. Not exactly what I had pictured in my mind, but we will hav... While the lovely Rowland's last smash hit 'Motivation' was most likely responsible for the majority of children being born, 'Lay It On Me' heads in the same direction, but in a more upbeat way. I'm curious to see what the rest of her album content will it be about, or will it all be with sex? Anyways this latest summer jam features Big Sean who holds down a verse similar to Lil Wayne's in that it works with the song, but isn't anything spectacular.

One of the more interesting tracks off of Big Sean's Finally Famous album dropping June 28th. This one features Lupe Fiasco. Lupe outperforms Sean lyrically on this one. Frankly the chorus lulls the listener a bit. Listening to the beat I'm assuming this one has No ID's written all over it. (Yup, No ID & Exile). The discussion of whether or not hip-hop blogs should be posting leaks has been on the rise especially since the man at RefinedHype expressed his opinion. He brought up a good poi... In one day we get 3 of the hottest artists in the game releasing music (Lil Wayne, J. Cole, & now Kanye West). What do the 3 tracks all have in common? They all sound like when we first fell in love with them. On 'Mama's Boyfriend' we get something that would've appeared on College Dropout. Which is why this is a leftover from MBDTF. An excellent song that sounds like vintage Kanye, but it clearly doesn't fit in with MBDTF. Shame though, this is a great song although the hook scratches ar... Continue reading ...

Oh my god funkmaster flex, could you ruin a song any more? I know you gotta promo anything you get your hands on but c'mon man we get it. Having interruptions 8 times in 1 song just to say your name. Are you really that conceited? Alright well since that is off my chest this is the first single by Nas on his upcoming album Life is Good. The single was planned to drop around this time but IFWT got his hands on it earlier.
Nas really did a number on this track. He's been out of the game... Continue reading ...

Today KarenCivil let go of a track Swizz Beats was hyping up. Lil Wayne recreates Eminem's 'Stan' into 'Dear Anne'. Seems fitting as the only person with as many Stans as Eminem is Lil Wayne. Although this will not see it's way onto Carter IV, Lil Wayne fans should be very pleased with what Lil Wayne has been showcasing recently. The 'Nightmare of the Bottom' track which he performed last night on MTV Unplugged was vintage Lil Wayne and so is this.

Normally for any other artist I would wait until the next day to post a track that dropped at night. J. Cole is the exception though. One of his most hyped track on his upcoming album that was made a few years ago has appeared on the web. There has been doubt created that J. Cole wouldn't live up to the hype. That his same flow, same content was killing his buzz. Well, after an extremely long wait we finally get to hear something from the album. In my opinion it is the perfect time for ne... Your favorite recently signed Warner Bros. artist XV is back at it. Following the release of his latest mixtape Zero Heroes 'Phobia' is the newest song that XV let go. Great way to start the weekend. No word on what this track is a preview of, probably just to get his name back in the news or an upcoming mixtape. Still waiting on that debut album Vizzy, but no rush, still getting plays from Zero Heroes.

I still don't see the don't think we've seen the best from Jay Sean yet. He doesn't have the strongest voice in the industry but this 'Where Do We Go' is pretty good. What I don't get is what category of music he wants to do. He started out in the hip-hop scene being the hook maker and now we see him slow it down on this track, singing over guitar.
I definitely think this suites him more, without the help of auto-tune he stands on his own. I know this song is probably in response to a ... Continue reading ...

What do you get when a group of average young money members team up with Lil Wayne to produce a track? Well, you get Lil Wayne on auto-tune and some horrible ad-libs from people standing around in the studio. But I really can't hate on this even though it's pretty bad. Just a bunch of people throwing rhymes around and having fun while doing it. I think Lil Wayne knows that the people he's with isn't going to go anywhere far in the industry, but at least he still hangs out with them from t... Continue reading ...

Remember when Nicki Minaj was known for her rapping ability? Well that image is quickly dissolving as this latest track is another pop song. Unlike the last few tracks that was released this one isn't half bad though. The chorus is catchy and will get obsessed from all of her female followers. I wish she would go back to straight rapping, but she had her studio singing voice fixed so it doesn't sound half bad and this is how she is going to get records sold. Pop sells so if that what she ... Continue reading ...

Gorilla Zoe has been releasing a lot of songs lately and he's back at it with what I'm assuming is the title track off his upcoming album with the same name King Kong. I have always been a fan of Gorilla Zoe since his debut solo album, and I'm digging this track. The man has the deepest voice in hip-hop next to Trae the Truth and well in fact sounds like a gorilla if you know, a gorilla spoke english and rapped.
The album King Kong is set to be released in 2 weeks, so we are going to ... Continue reading ...

What a great way to start. We get another freebie from Drake today and of course it is produced by 40. 'Marvin's Room' is another singing/rapping song where Drake transitions from one to the other quite well I'd have to say. I don't know who Marvin is, but he's must have gotten on Drake's bad side.
One problem I have had with any of Drake's latest music is it's the same topic over and over. I'm quite tired of the hardships of the champagne life. This cut focuses more on love, but it's... Continue reading ...
